Hello,
I have very recently aquired a 2nd hand inferno DX 4wd (ltd ed) with a GS21 engine.
its my first encounter with 1/8 scale and i will be running it for the first time tomorrow.

I need fuel, it has been ran on quick fire 16. should i stick with that or what do you reccomend?

Thanks in advance

Phil M

ps great stuff on here!

It would probaly be best to stick with that, but if you find that it doesnt work well or you can get hold of it then Get Tornado 16%

Quickfire is not one of the best fuels out there...it has a very high oil content (18% i think) i use to have a GSR21 and found that Dynaglo 10% was a good choice....but the GSR21 is know for its very high running temps.....Kyosho make very good kits but dont make great engines...does it have a blue or red heatsink ??
mine had a blue head and after a gallon of fuel the front bearing had give up the go and was chucking oil and fuel everywhere.
Have a look in the 1/8 buggy thread.....there are about 7 of us that run buggies so you may get some ideas and stuff from reading through the many pages :D

thanks for replies!

I used the car today, was quite impressed. i got some qickfire 16 for it. it seemed to run quite well on the standard settings but i will have to get used to finding the optimum mixture. i did fiddle a bit.
was putting down a bit of smoke and left a lot af staining on the grass!

DOES'NT the fuel run out quick! can you fit bigger tanks?

also, don't they get HOT! suffered a couple of burns. ouch.

i look forward to playing some more with it. (It does has the blue head and is the gs21r).

cheers

You should be able to get around about 20mins run times unless you are giving it WOT all the time and then it will drop to around 10mins...if you are running on the rich side this will also reduce you run times you will have a job to get a bigger fuel tank to fit as space is very tight to say the least.
The GSR21 is known for very high running temps so watch your fingers :p
Come and visit the buggy thread and say hi to the guys LOL
